What you will learn

Sewing Machine Basics

- Identifying key parts of the sewing machine
- How to thread a sewing machine step-by-step
- Winding and inserting the bobbin
- Changing the needle and presser foot

Foundational Skills

- Practicing basic stitches (straight, zigzag, etc.)
- Sewing curves and corners with control
- Troubleshooting common machine issues
And if time allows…
- Simple seam finishes
- How to insert a zipper or buttonhole
- Starting a mini project to take home something you have made
By the end of the session, you'll walk away with practical skills and, most importantly, real confidence to continue your sewing journey with clarity and excitement.

What you need to bring

You don’t need to bring anything.
Sewing machine and sewing tools will be provided.

Is this a group or one-on-one workshop?

Each workshop is limited to just 3 people, so you will get plenty of personal attention and guidance in a relaxed, supportive setting.

What if I’ve never sewn before?

That’s completely fine! I designed this workshop to build your confidence, no matter your starting point. Whether you are brand new or feeling unsure about certain aspects, the session is adapted to the people in the room. With a small group size, you will get hands-on guidance at your pace, plenty of support, and time to really get comfortable using the machine.

Sewing can feel technical and intimidating, so this is a hands-on, supportive space with small groups, low pressure, and tailored guidance to fit your pace and needs.
