Learn basic stitches and try new techniques
Troubleshoot common sewing issues
Build real confidence in a supportive environment

What you will learn

Sewing Machine Basics

- Identifying key parts of the sewing machine
- How to thread a sewing machine step-by-step
- Winding and inserting the bobbin
- Changing the needle and presser foot

Foundational Skills

- Practicing basic stitches (straight, zigzag, etc.)
- Sewing curves and corners with control
- Troubleshooting common machine issues

And if time allows…

- Simple seam finishes
- How to insert a zipper or buttonhole
- Starting a mini project to take home something you have made

By the end of the session, you'll walk away with practical skills and, most importantly, real confidence to continue your sewing journey with clarity and excitement.

What if I’ve never sewn before?

That’s completely fine! I designed this workshop to build your confidence, no matter your starting point. Whether you are brand new or feeling unsure about certain aspects, the session is adapted to the people in the room. With a small group size, you will get hands-on guidance at your pace, plenty of support, and time to really get comfortable using the machine.

What is "Intro Price"?

This workshop is currently offered at a special introductory rate as I shape the experience and gather feedback from early participants.

Your input helps refine the class and in return, you get early access at a lower price.

Future sessions will reflect the full value of the personalised, hands-on format and small group setting.

I am so grateful to have been made aware of Bianca's workshops from a friend who is attending the sew and bond workshop. As I had not used a sewing machine for many many years I decided to take the confidence building workshop which proved to be just what I needed. Such excellent guidance from Bianca on the workings of the sewing machine with great patience and excellent teaching skills. We even learnt how to put in a zip and sew a button and buttonhole as well, something I had never done on my machine before.
I would definitely recommend these workshops to gain that confidence back and I even got out my machine the very next day and I managed to repeat what we had learnt on my own even though my machine is different from the one I used at Bianca's.

Very informative session!

I really enjoyed the workshop with Bianca. We had a discussion before we started about what experience I had so far and anything in particular I was looking to learn and she tailored the session perfectly. I came away with lots of new tips and excited to continue with my sewing journey!

Perfect reintroduction to sewing

Had a lovely evening with Bianca. I’d been taught by my grandma as a child but as an adult I hadn’t been near a sewing machine in 10-12 years. The class is a great introduction to the basics and Bianca was so patient with us. We even had time to make scrunchies! Can’t wait to dig out my old supplies and get going again. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to start or get back into sewing.
