Sewn at Midnight Gala Exclusive: Janome HQ Sewing Event

 

The second of our Sewn at Midnight Gala events has officially happened and what a lovely start it was!

It was so good spending the day surrounded by toiles, shiny fabrics, and a fair bit of “let’s just try it and see what happens.” The atmosphere felt relaxed and open, with people moving between projects, testing ideas, and figuring things out as they went.

One of my favourite parts was watching how everyone approached their makes.

Some of you came in with a clear plan, others were very much in that “not fully committed yet” stage, and honestly, I loved seeing that just as much. There was a lot of experimenting, second-guessing, changing direction halfway through… all the real parts of the process that don’t always get talked about.

Of course, the weather decided to add its own drama to the day.

Snow…at the end of April?! Especially after the 19°C we had just days before. It definitely made the whole thing feel even more memorable 😅

This event was a little something special. Like the Leon's shopping event, it was free session at Janome HQ for everyone holding a ticket to the sold-out Sewn at Midnight Gala. It felt like the perfect way to start building that sense of community before the main event.

Most importantly, it was about bringing people together through sewing.

What’s Next: Exclusive Pre-Gala Sewing Event (2nd Session)

The next event in the Sewn at Midnight Gala journey is our second Exclusive Pre-Gala Sewing Event at Janome HQ.

Included with your Sewn at Midnight Gala ticket, this special session gives you dedicated time and space to start working on your gala outfit alongside other attendees. It’s the perfect opportunity to turn all those fabric choices and outfit plans into actual garments.

I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone again and hopefully seeing some of those beautiful fabrics already turning into dresses, suits, and spectacular outfits. ❤️
