Sold-Out Easter's Workshop at Janome HQ: Multi-Purpose Quilted Organiser Bag

A full day in the studio sewing the Multi-Purpose Organiser Bag!

Seeing all the different colours and prints come together never fails to excite me…I honestly didn’t want to part with any of them 😂

We had hot drinks on tap dnd plenty of food to keep us going, the perfect setup for a full day of sewing and creativity.

This was the second sold-out session of this workshop, and bringing a design I created two years ago into a real, hands-on experience like this has been such a meaningful milestone.

 

About the Workshop

Each attendee received a fully prepared kit, carefully assembled in advance so that no two kits were the same. This kept every bag unique while still guiding everyone through the same core techniques.

Over the course of six hours, participants worked through:

- Sew accurate seams
- Quilt layers of fabric
- Make bag straps
- Insert zippers in 3 different ways
- Bind edges
- Constructing a finished, functional multi-purpose organiser bag.

 

The Experience

Every detail was thought through ahead of time so attendees could focus on sewing and enjoying the process.

There was:

- A small gift for everyone
- Food and refreshments
- Hot drinks, water, and a relaxed, supportive environment
