IF YOU SEW, THIS IS FOR YOU
It doesn't matter what you've sewn before.
Sound familiar?
- You've finished a project and immediately forgotten what you changed
- Your measurements live on three different scraps of paper
- You've made the same fitting mistake twice - on different projects
- You can't remember why something worked, only that it did
This journal fixes that!
It's the difference between hoping it fits and knowing it will.
Why I Made This
Why I Made This
I’ve been talking about sewing journals for years!
I’ve always used my trusty notebook. I still love it. It’s been with me through ideas, mistakes, late nights, and little wins. But over time, I kept wishing it was more organised, more intentional, more sewing-specific. Something that felt good to write in. That could handle being opened flat, scribbled in, sketched on, revisited again and again. Something practical, sturdy, and beautiful. Something that felt like more than just a book. Almost like a piece in itself.
I wanted something that guided me on what to write so nothing got forgotten. Measurements. Reflections. What worked. What didn’t. A place to sketch. Something practical. Something I could actually use while learning and growing, not something that lived on a shelf.
I searched online, hoping someone had already made it. I found PDFs. A few thin books. Loose pages. Bits and pieces. But nothing felt cohesive. Nothing felt beautiful. Nothing felt sturdy. Nothing felt like it was made by someone who actually sews.
So...I decided to make it myself.
It first started as an idea, then quickly turned into actually designing it - thinking about covers, layouts, paper, binding, and most importantly understanding what a sewist truly needs, from a sewist's point of view.
Throughout all my workshops and events I kept asking questions, listening to what people struggled with, noticing patterns and frustrations. That led to Version A.
After printing the first version, I took in more feedback, made more changes, added more pages, refined things I thought were finished…and somehow made it even more expensive in the process. That's when Version B came in - and the waiting time that felt endless.
This is 'My Sewing Journal'. ❤️
Sewing-focused, sturdy, and beautifully designed.
