Grand Prizes and Goodie Bags

There will be three grand prizes awarded at the gala, each valued at over £100.

These are the highlight awards and will be decided by attendee votes during the event.

The categories are:

- Best Creative - Awarded to the outfit that stood out for originality and imaginative design.

- Best Overall - Given to the outfit that shows the best balance of creativity, fit, and execution.

- Best Show-Stopper - Recognising the look that truly turned heads and made a memorable impression.

In addition to these grand prizes, every participant will receive a goodie bag valued at £45+. The goodie bags will contain prizes from our sponsors, along with a few extra surprises.

How the Grand Prize Will Be Decided

During the gala, all attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite outfits in the available categories.

This means everyone gets to help decide the winners of Best Creative, Best Overall, and Best Show-Stopper.

Why Hosting a Gala?

I do it because I love creating spaces where makers connect, share their passion, and build community. Yes, it will take seven months to prepare, but knowing it brings people together is the greatest reward.

Over time, my Sew&Bond™ event is having incredible demand, selling out months in advance and bringing together amazing people who love sewing as much as I do.

And when I hosted a special celebration event at Janome UK, that sold out too - a wonderful reminder of just how strong and engaged this community truly is.

Because of that success, and after hearing so many requests for something bigger and more special right here in Manchester, I decided to create the Sewn at Midnight Gala.

It’s an evening to come together, share stories, spark creativity, and connect with fellow dressmakers and sewists who truly get the quiet magic of a late-night stitch.

The Sewn at Midnight Gala is a special evening dedicated to celebrating the makers behind every stitch. It’s a chance for dressmakers, sewists, and creative enthusiasts to connect, share stories, and enjoy an inspiring night together.

How can I buy tickets?

Tickets will be available soon! Join the waitlist to be the first to know when tickets go live.

Will there be early bird tickets?

We’re planning to offer early bird tickets as a special way to thank our early supporters. Details and timing will be announced soon, please make sure you’re on the waitlist so you don’t miss out!

When and where is the event taking place?

16th of May 2026 at Manchester235.
6pm till Midnight.

How many guests will be attending?

To keep the event intimate and personal, we’re limiting attendance to a maximum of 50 guests.

What can I expect at the Gala?

Expect an intimate evening celebrating creativity and community, with music, a catwalk showcasing your unique handmade outfits, delicious food and drinks, and a few carefully planned surprises to make the night truly memorable.

Can I sponsor the event?

Sponsoring is now closed.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. However, tickets are transferable if you notify us in advance with the full details of the new ticket holder. Refunds are only offered if the event is cancelled.
