What you’ll do:

  • 2h Hands-on practice with a sewing machine
  • Learn basic stitches and try new techniques
  • Troubleshoot common sewing issues
  • Build real confidence in a supportive environment

What you will learn

Sewing Machine Basics

- Identifying key parts of the sewing machine
- How to thread a sewing machine step-by-step
- Winding and inserting the bobbin
- Changing the needle and presser foot

Foundational Skills

- Practicing basic stitches (straight, zigzag, etc.)
- Sewing curves and corners with control
- Troubleshooting common machine issues
And if time allows…
- Simple seam finishes
- How to insert a zipper or buttonhole
- Starting a mini project to take home something you have made
By the end of the session, you'll walk away with practical skills and, most importantly, real confidence to continue your sewing journey with clarity and excitement.

What you need to bring

You don’t need to bring anything.
Sewing machine and sewing tools will be provided.

Is this a group or one-on-one workshop?

Each workshop is limited to just 3 people, so you will get plenty of personal attention and guidance in a relaxed, supportive setting.

What if I’ve never sewn before?

That’s completely fine! I designed this workshop to build your confidence, no matter your starting point. Whether you are brand new or feeling unsure about certain aspects, the session is adapted to the people in the room. With a small group size, you will get hands-on guidance at your pace, plenty of support, and time to really get comfortable using the machine.

What is "Intro Price"?

This workshop is currently offered at a special introductory rate as I shape the experience and gather feedback from early participants.
Your input helps refine the class and in return, you get early access at a lower price.
Future sessions will reflect the full value of the personalised, hands-on format and small group setting.
Introductory rate will end on the 30th of September.

Perfect reintroduction to sewing

Had a lovely evening with Bianca. I’d been taught by my grandma as a child but as an adult I hadn’t been near a sewing machine in 10-12 years. The class is a great introduction to the basics and Bianca was so patient with us. We even had time to make scrunchies! Can’t wait to dig out my old supplies and get going again. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to start or get back into sewing.

Beginner friendly

I've not had any instruction since high school some 20+ years ago so was quite nervous but Bianca made me feel comfortable and went at a good pace for me to pick up all the necessary essential points for using the machine. We had time to make scrunchies and I'm looking forward to attacking my fabric pile now!

I created this workshop because I wanted the kind of sewing experience I wish I had when I started - one that builds your confidence from the beginning.

Sewing can feel technical and intimidating, so this is a hands-on, supportive space with small groups, low pressure, and tailored guidance to fit your pace and needs.
