This bag was designed with sustainability and creativity in mind. It’s perfect for using up those scraps of fabric left over from other sewing adventures.
You can create a unique and functional bag while giving new life to fabric scraps that might otherwise go unused. Whether you mix and match prints, play with textures, or stick to a theme, this pattern allows you to make something truly one-of-a-kind.

Product Dimensions

The finished bag size is 7” tall x 11 ¾” wide x 3 ¾” deep.

What's Included

A 56-page digital PDF with detailed, step-by-step instructions.
Option to print in A4, US letter and A0 file.

Materials Needed

Notions:
1 x 12” zipper (or longer, it will be cut down to size).
Bias binding (Pre - made or make your own).
Stabiliser: 
Sew-in foam, fusible foam, or batting (choose one).
Lightweight fusible interfacing for optional fabric handles.
Tools:
Universal Needles. (Size 80/12 or 90/14)
Rotary cutter.
Pins and/or clips.
2” wide ruler (or make a paper template: 2” x 30”).
Marking tool (chalk, heat-erasable pen, etc.).
Seam ripper/unpicker.
Zipper foot.
Walking foot (not essential).

Fabric suggestions

Exterior: Cotton poplin, quilting cotton.
Lining: Cotton poplin, quilting cotton, poly cotton, lightweight waterproof fabric.
Interior Pockets: Cotton poplin, quilting cotton, poly cotton, lightweight waterproof fabric, mesh.
Optional Straps: Canvas, cotton poplin, quilting cotton.

Why Roma?

I named this pattern "Roma" as a tribute to the first destination my partner and I visited together on our very first holiday as a couple. It felt meaningful to name my first bag pattern after such a special place.
