Sew a Colour Blocked Jumper Workshop

This is a 5-hour, hands-on sewing workshop focused on making a project from start to finish on a overlocker.

You'll have time to sew, ask questions, learn new techniques and enjoy the process of creating something for yourself.

I'll be on hand throughout the day to offer guidance, troubleshoot any tricky moments and help you achieve a professional-looking finish.

Before the workshop:

To make the most of our time together, you'll need to do a little preparation before the workshop.

Once you've booked, I’ll post the physical pattern to your home address so you can prepare your paper pattern pieces.

An email will also be sent with information about:

- Choosing your size
- Preparing your pattern
- Selecting your fabric

On the workshop day, please make sure you come with:

- Your paper pattern pieces cut to your chosen size.
- Fabric pre-washed and ready to cut.
- The correct amount of fabric.

- A copy of the Tilly and the Buttons Drew pattern, posted to you before the workshop
- 5-hour in-person workshop
- Support throughout the day.
- Lunch, Tea, coffee and refreshments

You will also be provided with a sewing/overlocker machine, iron, ruler, scissors and other tools for the day.

Supplies Needed:

- Your pattern that was sent out with your paper pattern pieces ready in your chosen size
- Fabric washed and ready to cut

Fabric Suggestions:

- For the main bodice and sleeves: sweatshirt fleece, french terry or ponte de roma.
- For the neckband, hem band and cuffs: ribbing.

The size range for the Drew jumper is from a 30-60 inch full bust.

This workshop is ideal for confident beginners and beyond who are comfortable with the basics of using a sewing machine and want to take their garment-making skills further.

You don't need to be an expert dressmaker, I'll be there to guide you through the process and help you when you get stuck.

What you do need is a willingness to have a go, learn something new and enjoy a day of sewing!

This workshop is limited to 6 participants, ensuring plenty of individual guidance and a calm, friendly learning environment.

Tea, coffee, water and a light lunch are provided.

If you would prefer to bring your own lunch, please let us know upon arrival if you need it refrigerating.

The premises is wheelchair accessible and there is free onsite parking.

We offer no refunds, however, if you can no longer attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person, provided you share the new attendee’s details at least 24 hours before the workshop.

If you are not completely satisfied with the workshop, we will refund you in full.
